Hours for Courses and Sessions
Summary
This guide explains how course and session durations are displayed in different contexts: diploma, My Enrollments menu, registration confirmation, and Administrator menu. It also lists important configuration rules for durations.
Step-by-step Instructions
Diploma
- The displayed duration is the one defined in the course.
- If no duration is specified in the course, the session duration is displayed by default.
- Online course: No duration is displayed.
- Classroom course: The displayed duration is the one defined in the session.
Registration Confirmation
- Online course: Duration is not displayed, even if the duration field exists.
- Classroom course: The displayed duration is the one defined in the session.
- Both the course duration and the session duration are visible in the session section.
Important to remember
- Choose either hours and minutes or days to define the duration—do not mix both formats.
- Do not enter a value of “0” for the number of days. Leave the field empty if it is not used.
Tips / FAQs
- For classroom training, always set the duration at the session level to ensure consistent display in the catalog and confirmations.
- For online courses, leave the duration empty if you do not want it to appear in My Enrollments and the registration confirmation.
- If a diploma must show a duration, configure it in the course (this takes precedence).
