Create Activity or Course and Session
Summary
This guide explains how to create a course and a session in the platform, configure the available options, and understand the related statuses. It is intended for administrators and registrars responsible for managing the training catalog.
Step-by-step Instructions
1. Creating a Course
- In the Courses tab, click Create New.
- Complete the creation form:
- Course title: required
- Course media: select the type of content
- Moodle course: select an associated Moodle course if applicable
- Description: required
- Billing category: choose “Education” or a category set in Settings
- Development or acquisition cost: enter if needed

3. Click Finalize Creation.
2. Creating a Session
- Create a location via the Session menu.
- Create the trainer user and assign the Trainer role.
Create the session:
- Link it to the previously created course
- Configure the options as needed (see next section)
Options / Available Settings

| Dedicated | Generates a unique URL link for a private cart (requires Private option) | Targeted sale to a client |
| Quick Checkout | Limits to one registration, buyer is automatically enrolled | Simple direct sale |
| Available in Package | Can be purchased with other sessions at a reduced price | Promotions or bundles |
| Featured | Displays a banner and highlights the session | Special promotion |
| Special Offer | Adds a “Special Offer” visual indicator | Limited-time offer |
| Approval Required | Requires registrar validation before access | Restricted training |
| Direct Access | No registration, course page serves as content page | Info-only courses |
| Show in Catalog | Uncheck to hide | Internal content |
| Joint Process | Specific joint process | Client-specific use cases |
Statuses / Display

| Scheduled / Confirmed | Planned or confirmed session, registration open | Visible in catalog |
| Completed | Session finished, diplomas issued | Course access available, notification sent |
| Cancelled | Session cancelled, registrations removed, notifications sent | Shown as cancelled |
| Closed | Session closed and archived | Not visible in catalog |
Catalog Display Order
- Popular: sessions with most enrollments, special offers, featured
- Soon: upcoming sessions with promotions
- Recent: newly created sessions with good ratings
Tips / FAQs
- Check image dimensions for best display results
- Use the Dedicated option for private sales to a single client
- Before setting a session to Completed, ensure all attendance and evaluations are recorded
