Manage Skills and External Activities

This guide explains how to manage skills and handle external activities from the registrar interface, as well as how students can view and request recognition for their skills.

Step-by-step Instructions

Registrar Section

Manage skills

  • Access the Skills menu in the admin interface.
  • Click Create New and fill in the required fields.
  • Duration in days: specify validity if the skill should expire.
  • Once saved, the skill appears in a table:
    • The table allows you to edit a skill.
    • You can also access the list of participants who have earned this skill.
  • To link a skill to a course:
    • Open the course edit menu.
    • Check the skill(s) to be linked.

External activities

  • External activities allow users to get recognition for skills acquired outside the platform.
  • Access the External Activities menu.
  • View the table of recognition requests.
  • Click the eye icon to view request details.
  • Click the person icon to evaluate the request:
    • Select your decision based on available options (accepted, refused, other).

Student Section

Skills

  • Skills linked to completed courses are automatically added to the My Skills tab in the student record.

External activities

  • Open the My External Activities menu.
  • Click Add to submit a recognition request.
  • Fill in the form fields.
  • If you have a certificate, add it in the Documents section.
  • Check the skill you want to have recognized.
  • Once submitted, your request will appear in the tracking table.

Tips / FAQs

  • Use the duration in days to manage skills that require periodic renewal.
  • External activities are an excellent way to centralize all skills, including those obtained outside the platform.
  • Keep records of accepted and refused requests for tracking and reporting.
